Playing with Lisp Machines

I’ve recently discovered the joy of playing with Lisp Machines via http://www.unlambda.com. There are lots of emulators ranging from the early CADR to the TI Explorer. So far I’ve been playing with the CADR the most. It’s kind of amazing to think about some of the features of this environment. You can debug *everything* in the system, and in fact I’ve been kind of living in the debugger as a way of learning how things work. There is also a networking program called `chaosd’ that lets you connect to your local machine’s files so you can edit them in Zmacs!

All in all, very cool. Now off to read the fine manual.
